Finance

A result for every cost centre, not just the company.

A cost-centre tree with P&L, revenue and expenses with statuses, accounts and transactions. An allocation preset splits an invoice across cost centres in one pick, and you go through a bank statement line by line with a wizard.

Worth a closer look

P&L for every cost centre

A tree of cost centres from production to admin. Each has a P&L by month, quarter or year, and year to date. A manufacturer sees the result per machine or department, not just for the company.

Cost centresOctober
  • Production+€22,300
  • CNC machining centre 1+€9,800
  • CNC machining centre 2+€7,400
  • Milling+€5,100
  • Engineering and quality−€6,200
  • Metrology and QC−€2,900

Net result: +€16,100

One invoice, several cost centres

Pick a category and an allocation preset and the split across cost centres fills itself. An energy bill lands on the machines that used the energy.

From draft to paid

A record moves through draft, sent, confirmed, partly paid and paid. Confirming can require a goods-receipt number, and paying creates a transaction on the account. When a record is linked to a project purchase order, sending it draws the order down.

A goods-receipt number is required before paying.

Bank statement with a wizard

A PDF statement is analysed in the background, so you can leave in the meantime. Then you go through transactions next to a preview of the statement: create revenue or an expense with the partner pre-filled, or skip it.

Permissions in this module

Finance has four graded roles, from contributor to finance manager. As everywhere in core3, sensitive fields can be hidden or masked with a field rule, and a report never shows more than the person running it may see.

How permissions work
